Why we do this
Echosystem exists because the knowledge that turns a folder of sketches into released music has always been passed between artists, not sold in a classroom. That transmission should not depend on what you earn.
We come from scenes where the most interesting music is often made by the people with the least access. The scholarship is how we keep our own rooms honest: every cohort holds a seat for someone who would otherwise be listening from outside.
This is not charity. It is an investment in the music we want to exist.
What the scholarship includes
Full access to the cohort you apply for, at no cost:
-
Every live session with Uji and Lola Villa
-
All materials, templates, and resources
-
Direct feedback on your own music in every session
-
Membership in the cohort community
-
Lifetime access to recordings and future updates
-
Any release or distribution support included in that cohort
Who this is for
We are looking for artists who are serious, not artists who are already established.
You should apply if:
-
Paying the tuition would mean real financial strain, not just inconvenience
-
You have music already: sketches, loops, unfinished tracks, something real to bring
-
You can commit to every session and the work between them
-
You want to be part of a group, not just receive a class
You do not need:
-
A professional career
-
A label, a manager, or a following
-
Expensive gear or a studio
-
Formal music training
What we look for
We read every application. What moves us:
Artistic voice. Not polish. We want to hear something that could only come from you.
Clarity of intent. You know what you want this cohort to unlock, and you can say it plainly.
Real need. Tell us honestly where you are financially. We are not auditing you, we are trusting you.
Commitment to the room. Scholarship recipients show up for the other artists too. The cohort only works when everyone is in it.
